The big change... or at least one of them.

The signs are unmistakable: frequent feelings of anger, sadness, depression, loneliness, hopelessness and lethargy, as well as dry skin and a constant hunger for fatty foods. That's right ladies, Fall is approaching.
In some ways, the thought of this impending season change is saddening. I've never been a fan of cloudy days or being cold, and the idea of winter never fails to cause a shudder throughout my entire being. However, in most ways, Fall is one of my favorite seasons. I cannot think of a better time to enjoy some of my favorite things in life: food and fashion.
This time of year, I spend a lot of time in the magazine section at borders, looking for covers that mirror my interests: images of beautiful women in over sized, luxurious sweaters, intricately woven scarves blowing softly in the breeze, chocolaty smooth leather boots with just the right size heel... I just got a chill. I can also be caught, open-mouthed, staring at the pictures of delicious stews, gratins, and baked delicacies all made with some of my favorite ingredients, like pumpkin, butternut squash, apples, walnuts, and lots of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Mouth-watering.
For some of us, Fall is really just a gateway into the coldest time of the year, and it can go by very quickly. I invite you to enjoy this unique time when you are able to wear some of the most amazingly chic ensembles without having to cover them up with a heavy coat, or wear your Uggs and Wellies everywhere you go. Get in to it, and have fun... I certainly plan to!
